Matsu Valley PT: serving Palmer and Wasilla

Crystal Hennings grew up on a cattle ranch in southern New Mexico and was a student athlete throughout high school playing on the varsity teams for volleyball and basketball. She later attended New Mexico State University majoring in Pre-Med Biology and minoring in Biochemistry. After graduating, she accepted a physiotherapy internship in Cape Town, South Africa, working at the Alpha School for Learners with Autism. Her love for travel and adventure eventually led her to Ketchikan, Alaska in 2013 and she has been hooked on Alaska ever since.

Crystal obtained the title, Doctor of Physical Therapy, from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Utah. Before returning to the great state of Alaska, she spent 9 months working with veterans and active-duty military at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. “It was a great honor working with and giving back to our service men and women who sacrifice so much for our country and freedoms.”

Crystal’s experience includes outpatient orthopedics and pelvic floor physical therapy. She is dry needling certified and has completed her Level 1 Pelvic Floor Certification from Herman and Wallace with plans to continue in this multilevel certification program.
